RoHS 3 CONVERSION SERVICES
Compliance assessment and BOM conversion services for RoHS 3 Directive 2015/863
SOLUTIONS FOR COMPLIANCE
The RoHS directive (2011/65/EU and amended by 2015/863) extends to all electrical and electronic equipment (EEE). In order to establish the current compliance of your products with this latest directive we provide a BOM assessment and audit service. If required we can subsequently provide a BOM conversion through the creation of a compliant BOM, and provide supporting documentation for necessary due diligence.
RoHS Directives are intended to help protect the environment and consumers from known hazardous substances in a wide range of electrical and electronic equipment. The substances and restriction thresholds covered under these Directives are:
Original 6 substances (2011/65/EU):
- Lead(Pb) : 0.1%
- Mercury: 0.1%
- Cadmium(Cd): 0.01%
- Hexavalent chromium (Cr6+) : 0.1%
- Polybrominated Biphenyls (PBB): 0.1 %
- Polybrominated Diphenyl Ethers (PBDE): 0.1 %
Additional 4 substances ((EU) 2015/863):
- Bis(2-Ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP): max 0.1%
- Benzyl butyl phthalate (BBP): max 0.1%)
- Dibutyl phthalate (DBP): max 0.1%
- Diisobutyl phthalate (DIBP): max 0.1%
The restriction on the additional four substances went into effect July 22, 2019 for all electrical and electronic equipment other than categories 8 and 9. Categories 8 and 9 restrictions went into effect on July 22, 2021.
